Ibotta is an app that gives you cash back on your everyday purchases. It uses rebates and cashback coupons to give you money back on staples from direct brands and retail stores. The largest selection of discounts are for grocery store items (hence the inclusion here), but they also have deals on clothing, electronics, toys, etc. They have also partnered with certain stores like Target and Walmart to offer exclusive discounts.

The user interface is nice and easy to use. I was definitely impressed by the number of stores they have on the app including local grocery store chains. One thing that I was disappointed by was that to unlock the rebates you have to answer a market research question. For example, I clicked on a deal for Charmin toilet paper and it asked me to choose which Charmin product I liked best to unlock the deal. I understand that is part of how the app makes money, but it is a little for me having to answer those questions. Other than that I like the app, and I wouldn’t mind incorporating it into my shopping routine to earn some extra savings.
